Drive up the Urvai Gate. Walking the Gwalior Gate takes 30-45 minutes uphill.

Gwalior Fort sits on a steep sandstone and basalt rock plateau. It spans 3 square kilometers and rises 100 meters above the city. Two main entrances provide access. The drivable Urvai Gate is on the west. The pedestrian Gwalior Gate is on the east.
The complex houses several palaces. Raja Man Singh Tomar built the Man Mandir Palace in the 15th century. It features blue, yellow, and green ceramic tiles depicting ducks and elephants. You can read more about it in Palaces and Museum.
The fort also holds immense historical significance. The Chaturbhuj Temple contains an 876 CE inscription. This is one of the oldest written examples of the number zero. Learn where to find it in Zero Inscription.

Our guide Yoginath, was very knowledgable. The car driver Shubham was excellent in navigating through the narrow lanes where cows get the right of way! Gwalior has. a lot to offer- the fort, the temples, the palaces which were all covered in. well planned day.
One of the main attractions of gwalior city. Present near the Gwalior Fort, so one can visit in a single go. An ancient temple , that is not active anymore but still gives divine vibes. The temple will remind you of the rich architectural heritage that India has. The place is calm & not many people visit it that often so it is free of fuss.
We had great experience travelling to gwalior all the services were were well organized would highly recommend my tour advisor🙂
